Community Lunch is a meal for the town at which people to meet and share ideas over a communal meal. Writer, activist, spoken word artist and creative practitioner Lisette Auton worked through Community Lunch to collect constituents’ words, thoughts and feelings about the importance of art in their lives. From the conversations, Auton developed a lyric poem based on what MIMA, Community Day and mean to a diverse group of constituents. This poem was shown at MIMA’s Art in Action display.
